Edge Co-Curricular Certification

Edge is a new certification offered by the College of Arts and Sciences | Maxwell School. The goal is to give students a competitive edge post-graduation by supercharging their academics with complementary co-curricular certification. This certificate will show future recruiters that the student has an edge based on these experiential learning activities. Purpose To indicate that a Syracuse University College of Arts and Sciences or Maxwell undergraduate student has completed at least two required experiential learning activities. Upon completion of at least two activities, this student will: - Show proof of career readiness - Develop proficiency in communication, problem-solving, and adaptability - Cultivate a strong sense of global, intercultural, and community awareness Criteria - Enrolled in a Syracuse University A&S or Maxwell School Undergraduate Major - Meet the minimum program requirements - Final approval of completion by the Syracuse University A&S/Maxwell School Academic and Career Advising Office Evidence - Applicants will complete the Edge program application that requires students to detail their experiential learning activities

Research: Examples include, but are not limited to, independent research supported through SOURCE, working in a faculty member’s lab, or a research presentation at a conference.

Study Abroad: Study at an approved campus away from Syracuse, including summer, short-term, or semester programs and domestic study away programs in DC, NYC, or LA.
