Certified Career Ready

The Syracuse University, College of Arts & Sciences|Maxwell School Certified Career Ready Badge, signifies completion of a program designed to help undergraduate students develop tools throughout their academic experience, preparing them for post-graduation goals. Required programming includes resume reviews, interview preparation, networking opportunities, as well as workshops on how to maximize experiential learning opportunities. In addition, a student must complete two experiential learning activities that include community service, research, internship, or study abroad. The Certified Career Ready Badge signifies that a student is equipped with the tools and knowledge necessary for success in whatever career path or graduate work they pursue after graduation. Purpose: To indicate that a Syracuse University College of Arts & Sciences|Maxwell undergraduate has completed activities, contributing to the following outcomes that lead to professional development - Participation in experiential learning - Increase certainty in the selection of academic major - Develop the ability to articulate the value of a liberal arts degree to potential employers - Build a solid understanding of various career applications for selected major - Create a map to achieve post-graduation goals - Learn the value of connecting to the college’s alumni network - Develop proficiency in crucial professional competencies Criteria: - Enrolled in a Syracuse University A&S or Maxwell School Undergraduate Major - Meet the minimum program requirements - Final approval of completion by the Syracuse University A&S or Maxwell School Academic and Career Advising Office Evidence: - Attendance - HS Profile - Co-curricular Transcript Minimum Requirements: CAS / Max Certified Interview Ready - Resume Review - Interview Workshop CAS/Max Building a Professional Network Certification: - Group Advising Session on Networking / Alumni Networking Event - Participation in the Alumni Connections Program CAS/Max Experiential Education Certification: - Handshake Profile - Completion of EDGE Program
