Defense Resource Management Professional
The Defense Resource Management Professional (DRMP) credential is awarded to graduates of the prestigious Defense Comptrollership Program (DCP), a 60-credit hour dual master’s program offered by Syracuse University. This badge certifies that the individual has completed rigorous graduate-level education in both business administration and public administration with a specialized focus on defense financial management. DRMPs are capable of integrating financial stewardship with strategic leadership to solve complex resourcing challenges in the Department of Defense (DoD). The program is designed to develop senior-level resource managers who lead with integrity, data-driven insight, and mission-oriented strategy.

To earn this credential, recipients must:
Be competitively selected from the DoD’s military and civilian workforce.
Successfully complete a 14-month, full-time, 60-credit hour dual-degree graduate program.
Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Whitman School of Management
Executive Master of Public Administration (EMPA) from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs
Complete extensive coursework in defense resource management, accounting, and budgeting.
Participate in leadership seminars, simulations, and ethics instruction.
Engage in capstone projects demonstrating strategic financial planning and execution.
Meet all academic and professional standards required by both Syracuse University graduate schools.
